San Vito Lo Capo is a small seaside village of about 4000 inhabitants located in western Sicily between Trapani and Palermo. It has become increasingly famous thanks to the white beaches, the Zingaro Reserve and the Monte Cofano Reserve, the Cous Cous Fest and its cliffs!
t is wonderful to be here in Spring and Autumn when the sun is not as hot as in July and August but is warm - and life is certainly better than in the rest of Italy and Europe - and you can climb, experience nature and ... have unforgettable swims!
If you are passionate about sport climbing you need to know that it is physical climbing.
There are caves and walls with different exposures where you can therefore climb in the cool even in the hottest moments.
Some of the most spectacular sectors of this area are Salinella and Cala Mancina, which by now represent a super classic destination appreciated by anyone who wants to combine a real beach holiday with climbing of the highest quality.
San Vito Lo Capo is one of the most popular destinations for climbers, so much so that the Climbing Festival has been held here since 2009, which attracts many enthusiasts and climbers from all of Europe.
The San Vito Lo Capo Climbing Festival usually takes place in mid-October. The name of the festival has recently changed to "San Vito Outdoor" where it is also possible to do Mountain biking, Kite Surfing, Sup, Slackline, and many other sports immersed in nature.
In our Hotel in San Vito Lo Capo since 1988 we have hosted a multitude of enthusiasts and sportsmen who have happily told us about their days spent here.
In fact, from our 3-star family-run Hotel Piccolo Mondo you can reach the beach in less than two minutes on foot, but also Erice, Segesta, Marsala which are less than an hour away by car.
Without forgetting the charm of walks in the Zingaro Nature Reserve where surrounded by the indescribable colors of the Mediterranean maquis, you can follow the coastal path, the halfway one or the high path for those who are more trained and the Monte Cofano path with paths overlooking the sea and the "Scaletta" path where you arrive on at the top from which to admire a unique panorama.
We can therefore say that the "San Vito experience" in Autumn and/or Spring is ideal for those who want not only to experience the beach of San Vito Lo Capo but above all want to savor the charm of unspoilt nature whether traveling alone, with a partner or with friends or with children because you can combine the advantage of climbing, experiencing the open and uncontaminated space together with the children, alternating a few mornings at the beach and even moving on for small cultural excursions.
