When can I have a nice swim in San Vito Lo Capo?

di Marco

Make a cup of coffee, take a five-minute break: it's time to forget the bad rainy days, to escape the winter and think about the first beach holiday alone, with friends or with your loved one.

Plan a nice trip to do next spring in San Vito Lo Capo!

As you know, from March onwards, the days are longer and brighter compared to winter

In April and May it is nice to take beautiful walks by the sea.

San Vito Lo Capo’s beach is one of the most popular in Italy, also known abroad.

The beach is only 50 meters from our Hotel that - as I always say - it is a very convenient solution for an experience in San Vito Lo Capo: you don't need to take the car or get on crowded shuttles to go to the beach!

From mid-May by booking directly you can take advantage of the beach service with umbrellas, sunbeds and beach towels (that we provide, so you won't need to pack them)!

An experience here during this time will allow you to immerse yourself in natural wonders with few people around you.

Ok Marco ... but in Spring I usually have to work in my office, how can I work in San Vito Lo Capo?

Working from home has never been so beautiful, especially if you can call the Piccolo Mondo Hotel in San Vito Lo Capo "home".

Coffee break?

Lie down in the sun loungers on the terrace and let the spring sun caress your skin!

And then, after work, dive into the blue of the Mediterranean Sea, just a few steps from the hotel or rent a rubber boat to set off to discover the Riserva dello Zingaro or the Monte Cofano Reserve!

We have decided to open up to smart workers all over the world with a special package created for them.

It is possible to book a stay in April at the Piccolo Mondo signing up a special offers for "smart working in San Vito Lo Capo".

A personalized package designed to make you feel as if you were in your second home by the sea.

Distances and privacy are guaranteed since the Piccolo Mondo has only 13 rooms and some have balconies and others, such as the Junior Suite, a splendid private terrace overlooking the sea to ensure maximum relaxation!

Another good reason is the Kite Festival (Festival degli Aquiloni) in mid-may

The kite enthusiasts from various parts of the world, will perform on the beautiful beach of San Vito Lo Capo.

Do you want another valid reason to reach our little corner of paradise?

Visit the Zingaro Nature Reserve (Riserva dello Zingaro), with a dinghy or with your car.

It is one of the most important and well-known natural areas of Sicily, which has become famous as one of the most beautiful coasts in Italy. Now more and more loved by trekking enthusiasts.

Lots of plants, trees and spectacular views to photograph, spring is a truly unique time to visit this beautiful place!

Do you want other good ideas?

  • A 5-minute drive from our Hotel - or walk half an hour if you prefer - you find out the “Tonnara del Secco”. It is abandoned because the "Tonnare" (where tuna were caught with "mattanze") are no longer active since the 1960s but I assure you that the view you will have is worth it!
  • Spend a fantastic day on the "wild side" of San Vito Lo Capo: Baia Santa Margherita! Here you will find a beautiful beach and many small coves will give you unforgettable memories, especially at sunset!

Spring is therefore a good reason to go to San Vito Lo Capo.

From here you will not only go for a "beach holiday" but you can also reach Erice, Segesta, Marsala, all splendid towns less than an hour from San Vito Lo Capo that will add a bit of culture to your break from stress.

All three places mentioned above are famous for their history and beauty.

  • Erice has a very long history! It was probably founded by the King of the "Elimi" (2000 BC) or founded by Aeneas; it's nice to go into its alleys, visit its churches, the Castle of Venus (Castello di Venere) from which you have a wonderful view of the Egadi Islands (and why not?) try the “Genovesi”, the typical sweets of this beautiful village.
  • On holiday here, you can spend a morning in Erice for example and then move to Segesta. The mild spring climate is ideal for visiting the Doric Temple and the Theater, partly excavated in the hill (in summer in Segesta it's really hot, better to stay by the sea!)
  • From Segesta you can go to Marsala with a quick stop at the Saline, better if at sunset!
  • Last but not least is Marsala. It is obviously the city of wine, Marsala in fact. A slightly liqueur-like wine that the English enjoyed so much. Once in Marsala, I recommend a tasting in one of the many wineries. I have many suggestions to give you, I would love to tell you about it here at the hotel and also give you the name of some good fish restaurant in Marsala!

If you've read up to this point, now you know that a few days of vacation here are not enough.

If this is your first time in the western part of Sicily a holiday weekend is too short, it will not be enough to see everything, to savor the true essence of Sicily.

I suggest you take a week off.

You deserve so much time to have a relaxing experience, so many days at the beach, swimming, walking and nature and cultural tours, without fear of having forgotten something you get home.

In Spring the temperatures here in the province of Trapani are around 25 degrees

The sea water is still a little cool but the spring sun slowly starts to warm it up.

Imagine dipping your feet in the water and looking at the sky: holiday!

The sea gives smiles, frees the mind, and has an immediate regenerating effect when you are here. No need to wait for summer to try.

Great! When will the Hotel reopen?

Our Hotel Piccolo Mondo opens on April 1st, a few days before Easter which arrives on the 4th.

Fantastic! How can I book a room that best meets my needs?

It is very simple! Enter the dates of your interest and immediately check availability and best prices here.

Alternatively, if you need some more information, contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp.

The choice is yours. Ci vediamo a San Vito Lo Capo!
